Dr John Schneeberger was well-liked and respected; nobody suspected that those in his care were also victims of his depraved sexual fantasies.

Born in Zambia, Dr John Schneeberger achieved his medical degree in South Africa and then moved to Canada in 1987, where he began a career as a successful physician. He lived and worked in a small town named Kipling in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, where the population stood at just over 1000, making it a very close-knit community.

In 1991, he married mother-of-two Lisa Dillman, and the couple went on to have two daughters of their own. However, hiding behind the trustworthy facade of a respected medical professional, Schneeberger was a sexual predator who abused his position to prey on his patients and stepdaughter.

In October 1992, he sedated a 23-year-old female patient named Candice — known as “Candy” — and proceeded to rape her while she lay unconscious in his consultation room. Although the drug he used could obscure or even wipe memory, Candy woke and was able to recall that she had been sexually assaulted.
